Use of cookies
We use cookies for our websites. Cookies are small text files that are sent to your browser by our web server when you visit our website and are stored on your computer for later retrieval. They serve to make the Internet offer more user-friendly and effective overall.

This website uses cookies:

  • Transient cookies (temporary use)
  • Persistent cookies (temporary use)
  • Third-party cookies (from third-partyproviders)

Cookies can be divided into two categories:
Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests of your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to the website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or you close the browser.

Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.

You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. However, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all functions of this website.

You can find more information on the topic of “cookies” on the portal of the consumer advice center: https://www.verbraucherzentrale.de/wissen/digitale-welt/datenschutz/cookies-kontrollieren-und-verwalten-11996

Integrated services
For the design of our websites and the provision of additional functions, we integrate the following external services in our own interest.

All services can be deactivated by using special plugins for your browser or more concretely, the necessary connection to the corresponding servers is prevented. Please note, however, that the use of such tools may result in a loss of familiar everyday comfort, as many things may no longer function as you would normally expect.

Interested readers are recommended to use tools such as NoScript, uBlock Origin, or uMatrix. There are many tools that aim to make Internet traffic safer in general, but they are not automatically privacy-friendly.

By the way, these tools, properly configured, can also generally prevent web analytics or usage-based ad networks and other connections to third-party providers triggered automatically in the background for all websites you visit.

Google Maps
On our websites, we integrate content from Google Maps in order to be able to show you the location of our company in a simplified way. This automatically establishes a connection from your browser to the Google Maps server and thus also transmits your IP address. If you are logged in to Google with an existing user account while visiting our website, Google may also be able to associate your visit to our website with your user behavior. In addition, further cookies may be sent to your browser by Google. We have no influence on this procedure and do not receive any information from Google about the transmitted content.

Analysis of your user behavior by Google:
Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of their websites. Such an analysis is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our websites.

You have a right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this.

Right of objection and revocation
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you may revoke this consent at any time. Such revocation will affect the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have expressed it to us.

Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on the balance of interests (the legal basis is then § 6 No. 5 DSG-EKD), you may object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary, in particular, for the fulfillment of a contract with you, which is addressed by us in each case in the explanation of the individual data processing and functions on our websites further up in this privacy policy. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will review the merits of the case and either discontinue or adapt the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds on the basis of which we will continue the processing.

Contact options regarding your rights to exercise your rights, you can contact us at any time. The best way to do this is to use the following e-mail address: datenschutz(at)im-muenchen.de.

You are also welcome to use one of the contact options in our imprint or to contact our data protection officer directly (contact details above).

Data security
We also use technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data that we receive or collect, in particular against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against attack by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

The transmission of your personal data is encrypted using SSL technology (https) to prevent access by unauthorized third parties.

Communication by e-mail
Our e-mail systems support encrypted communication using SSL technology (TLS 1.2 incl. PFS). The transmission of your e-mail can therefore be encrypted in principle. Please note, however, that encryption also depends on the configuration of your e-mail program and we cannot, therefore, guarantee complete data security for the transport route.

For information requiring a high level of confidentiality, we recommend that you send it by post.
